A Day at the Beach

The weather may have got a little chillier here in Amsterdam, but we couldn't resist a little day trip to Noordwijk last week to get ourselves well and truly in the Summer spirit. And whilst the sand felt marvellous in between our toes, it wasn't long before we were in need of a little shelter from that sea breeze, and luckily we stumbled across just the spot.

De Koele Costa sits on the Strandpaviljoen and was the perfect haven to rest our windswept little heads. Once inside we were greeted with a delicate mismatch of white washed barrels, sun kissed beachy woods, crooked frames and cosy pillows. Reflecting the laid-back ocean vibes of the surrounding area, the Scandinavian style interior had us feeling immediately at home.

In fact, we didn't really want to leave this gem once we'd got ourselves snuggled up amongst the cushions - and no, that had nothing to do with the wine!
