CARE : Brass items will get green rust or discolouration when you leave it wet.
There is a clear lacquer on the brass to protect it & it is advised to wipe this item dry periodically to prevent oxidation. Never let sit in water for long periods of time.
Soaking in white vinegar (for about an hour) works for removing any stains or polish with a brass cleaner such as Brasso.
